The average sale price for a detached single-family home for all areas of Brantford in April 2019 was $441,384, which is up 9.20% compared to the average sale price of $404,207 for April 2018. There were 210 new listings of detached homes and 129 sales in the month, which gives us a sales-to-new listings ratio of 61.43% for the month of April. That means that approximately 6 homes were sold for every 10 homes that were listed in the month, indicating a Seller's market for the City of Brantford as a whole. The number of sales were up 21.70% in April 2019 compared to April 2018. North End

The average sale price in Brantford’s North End neighbourhoods in April 2019 was $471,451, which is up 1.51% compared to the average sale price of $464,447 for April 2018. There were 64 new listings of detached homes and 38 sales in the month of April, which gives us a sales-to-new listings ratio of 59.38% for the month. That means that almost 6 out of every 10 homes listed in the month were sold, indicating a Seller's market in the North End neighbourhoods last month. West Brant

The average sale price in the West Brant area in April 2019 was $472,838, which is up 1.41% compared to the average sale price of $466,250 for April 2018. There were 50 new listings of detached homes and 34 sales in the month of April, which gives us a sales-to-new listings ratio of 68.00% for the month. That means that approximately 7 homes were sold for every 10 homes that were listed in the month, indicating a Seller's market in the West Brant neighbourhoods last month. The number of sales were up 70.00% in April 2019 compared to April 2018.

There are a few statistics from the month of April that stand out. First of all, the average sale price was up 9.20% versus last year. The other interesting statistics were that there were 11.70% more new listings in the month of April but there were also 21.70% more sales in the month compared to last year. These statistics are all an indication that the demand for the houses for sale in Brantford has remained strong and is continuing to drive the sale prices here up to new levels.
